A couple of days ago, I came across a personality type test that I found quite interesting. For some reason, these little quizzes intrigue me. I like to see if they confirm the personality type I think I am. This test is called Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and it indicates how people perceive the world around them, and make decisions. Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother Katherine Briggs identified 16 different personality types.

Well, I took the test and let me tell you.. I am a “Campaigner”! This is the name of my personality type or ENFP (that’s the personality code). Supposedly, I am a free sprit that enjoys the social and emotional connections I make with others. According to the profile description, I am independent, energetic (I don’t know about this one) and compassionate. Also a people pleaser, intuitive, emotional, friendly and best of all…know how to relax!! I like this last one, so true! This type also comes with some weaknesses like over thinking things, and easily getting stressed when can’t please everybody. “Campaigners” like me are Carrie Bradshow from Sex & the City and Phil Dunphy from Modern Family! I pretty much agree with everything, it describes me very good!

So, I did my little research, and now I am ready to explain and show you the test. It’s very short and easy. It will be fun to find out what personality type you are! Just pick a profile side for each of the four parts, and remember the correspondent letter.

We all know there are two sides of our nature. People have a different preference in the way they gain energy. It can come from the internal, introspective world, or the external, interactive world. That reflects on being INTROVERT or EXTROVERT.

We can perceive the world in two different ways, using the SENSING or the INTUITIVE side of our nature. The first one is through our senses, experiences and facts. The second one is through interpretation, imagination and ideas.

We naturally make decisions by THINKING or FEELING . The first one deals with information in an analytical, logical, practical way, the second one deals with it in an emotional, and subjective way.

When we face the outside world with a plan, we use a JUDGING lifestyle. On the other hand, when we take the world as it comes, we use a PERCEIVING lifestyle.

This test is pretty revealing, my husband took it too, and wow.. it matched his personality 100%. He is ISTJ, or a Logistician, totally opposite from me…but that’s the way he really is. I admit that, on some aspects, I felt like I was in the middle line. I was able to recognize myself in some characteristics from both sides. For example between judging and perceiving, I am not totally dominating one side, I can share some qualities from the both of them. So, we might show tendencies from both profiles, but, at the end, we still have a general preference for one or the other.

Well, my combination of letters was ENFP, what is yours? I read somewhere that INFJ, or Advocate, is supposedly the rarest personality type…

Love doing these personality questioners but I really can’t determine who I really am based on a test. I reckon we’re all abit of everything really we just assert some aspects more than others. But knowing this I still always find it interesting its kinda like looking at your horoscope . Interesting read.

Thank you for stopping by and read the post! I agree with you, sometimes a personality test in not enough to really assess who we are, but it’s still kind of fun to try!

I love personality tests! This is a great one! I liked using them when I was teaching too! Great tools for the students and for me to know more about them.
